Sing Out Detroit LGBT Chorus

Sing Out Detroit LGBT Chorus is a mixed Soprano, Alto, Tenor, Bass (SATB) chorus for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender (LGBT) people and our Allies. We foster community, joy and fun!

We rehearse Tuesday nights from 7 to 9pm at St. John Episcopal Church in Royal Oak, MI.  We welcome singers with varied musical skills. We have members from all over the Metro Detroit Area and SE Michigan. Auditions are held in late August for our winter concerts, and in January for our spring concerts.

Everyone is welcome at our concerts, and if you are interested in helping out the chorus (we always need help from non-singers) please click the “Contact Us” tab above.

Our Mission and Vision

Sing Out Detroit is a diverse, inclusive chorus that provides a supportive environment for LGBT people and Allies to share the joy of musical performance, while creating harmony.  Our Vision is uplifting and inspiring others with our musical performances to bring about positive social change.

If you like to sing, please consider joining us.  Don’t sing?  We’re always looking for volunteers to help out at concerts and events. Join in the fun!
